Our Favorite Christmas Trees

The holidays are near and we love the winter wonderland that Glover Nursery turns into. Our entire staff gets bit with the holiday bug and we all have our favorite Christmas Trees.

If you’re searching for a REAL Christmas tree you’ve come to the right place. You won’t find any artificial trees at Glover Nursery. We work with local tree nurseries to bring the best trees for your holiday celebrations. If you want to know more about how we pick our Christmas Trees take a look at this post.

We even have several LIVE Christmas trees if you would like to keep your tree, plant it and enjoy it for years to come. LIVE trees are living trees that are still attached to the root ball and can be planted outdoors after the holidays. They should only be indoors for about 5 days total as they will go into shock and die if kept indoors for too long before being planted outdoors. We recommend digging a hole for your tree in November before the ground freezes in preparation for a LIVE Christmas Tree.

FRESH CUT Christmas Trees are like flowers in a bouquet, they have been cut off the root ball and will need to be on a tree stand with a water bowl throughout the holidays to keep the needles from drying out. They cannot be planted after the holidays as they have been cut down and no longer have a root ball. Though, they can be indoors for much longer since they will have the water source from the bowl on the tree stand to keep the cut tree hydrated.

The Nordmann Fir

“Layered and majestic”

The Nordmann fir have lush, full, rich dark green, glossy foliage with needles a little over an inch long, and grow from symmetrically arranged branches. The branches are very strong, perfect for displaying special or heavy ornaments. The needles are longer and softer than those of other Christmas tree varieties.

The Layered Noble

“Great smell!”

Beautiful layered Noble Fir with slim profile. The needles turn upward, exposing the lower branches. Known for its beauty, the noble fir has a long keep ability, and its stiff branches make it a good tree for heavy ornaments.
The Layered Noble is what some people are thinking of when they think of the traditional Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. Although ours are in better shape than poor Charlie’s.

The Noble Fir

“Hardy, lasts a long time, the typical Christmas tree shape, lots of room for ornaments”

The branches of the Noble fir are evenly spaced and have needles that are roughly 4-sided (similar to spruce), over 1 inch long, bluish-green and are generally twisted upward so that the lower surface of branches are exposed.

We are the home for Christmas Trees near you if you live in the Salt Lake City Valley. We love being a part of your winter traditions.
