This tree serves as both a flowering ornamental tree as well an an excellent food source. Self-fertile cultivar that blooms in March, producing soft-shelled, sweet nuts in late September and October. For highest yield, plant in an area with at least 6 hours of sun per day. Excellent choice for smaller landscapes.
