Glover Nursery Pet Policy

At Glover Nursery, we welcome well-behaved dogs and their humans! But many people are afraid of dogs. As such, to keep our nursery grounds safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, please review and follow the Glover Nursery pet policy below:

1. General Guidelines

  • Dogs are welcome in designated areas of our business.
  • All dogs must be leashed and accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Owners are responsible for their dogs’ behavior and any messes or damages.

Please note: This is not a dog park or training facility. Our dog-friendly policy is intended for customers who are actively shopping, browsing, or using our services. Dogs should not be brought in solely for socialization, training, or as a place to “hang out.”

2. Designated Areas

  • Dogs are allowed in outdoor spaces throughout the nursery.
  • When inside buildings, dogs must be kept next to their owner’s feet on a shortened leash.
  • Dogs are not permitted in the Veggie Greenhouse.

3. Dog Behavior

  • Dogs must be non-aggressive, friendly with people and other pets, and remain well-behaved at all times.
  • “Well-behaved” means no jumping on guests or other dogs, no excessive barking, growling, or leash pulling, and no disruptive or uncontrolled behavior.
  • Sick dogs (coughing, vomiting, fleas, etc.) should not be brought in.

4. Leashes & Control

  • All dogs must be on a standard (non-retractable) leash no longer than 6 feet.
  • No dogs may be left unattended or tied to fences or fixtures.

5. One Large Dog per Group Rule

  • Groups may bring more than one dog only if all dogs are under 25 lbs.
  • If any dog in the group is over 25 lbs, that dog must be the only one brought by that group. This helps us ensure a safe and comfortable space for all visitors.

6. Clean-Up Policy

  • Please clean up after your dog immediately. Use a doggie waste bag and place it in one of the garbage bins, which are available throughout the nursery.
  • Accidents happen, but you are responsible. If your dog urinates or defecates on any product, plant, or display, you are required to purchase the soiled item.
  • Repeated incidents or failure to clean up after your pet may result in being asked to leave the premises.

7. Liability Disclaimer

  • Glover Nursery is not responsible for any injuries or damages caused by or to dogs on our property.
  • Dog owners assume full liability for their pet’s actions while visiting.

8. Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to ask any pet owner and their pet(s) to leave the premises if they violate the Glover Nursery pet policy or disrupt the experience of others.
