Deck the Halls
It’s time to get into the Christmas spirit and there’s no better way to do that than picking out your Christmas tree and decorating it! Here at Glover Nursery we have
a huge selection of Fresh Cut Christmas trees direct from the wonderful tree farms of Oregon. There’s nothing better than the smell of a fresh Christmas tree wafting through your home over the holidays. We also provide ready-flocked trees (or you can pick out a green tree for us to flock) for a white Christmas look.
Now that you have your Christmas tree, how are you going to decorate it? Here are some fun ideas!
Make a popcorn garland!
Did you know that when Christmas trees first became popular in the United States, they were typically decorated with fruit?
This is when the tradition of stringing together popcorn and cranberries began. With some simple tools, creating a popcorn garland can be fun for the whole family. You’ll need a tapestry needle, sewing string, cranberries, and of course, popcorn (plain & unsalted). Pro Tip: Make sure the popcorn is stale before you begin stringing it. Leave it out for at least a few hours after you pop it.
Cork Rudolph Ornaments
This is a fun and festive way to repurpose those wine corks! All you need is pipe cleaners for the antlers, googly eyes, a red pom-pom for Rudolph’s red nose, and some string. Hot glue gun it all together, and voila, a cute ornament for your Christmas tree!
Painted Pinecones
While you and your family are out walking in a winter wonderland, pick up some pine cones along the way! Paint them
all different colors that pop, then tie the top with some string so you can hang them on your tree.
If you don’t have your tree yet learn more about our home delivery or pop by any day of the week! We will be open every day until Christmas Eve, 9am-7pm until the 20th, and then from 9am-5pm until Christmas Eve.
From all of us at Glover Nursery – we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
